What are you waiting for? Hello friends, and welcome to a new Happy learning video.
Today we are going to learn about the wettest animals on the planet...presenting the fish.

In almost all the places where you can find water, be it either salt water or fresh water, you can also find fish. There are fish of all sorts of sizes, colors and shapes, and yet they all have common characteristics which we should know.

Fish are vertebrates, their skeleton is made up of bones or cartilage. They are also cold blooded, their body temperature is not constant, meaning it depends on the water temperature.
This fish appears to be really cold!

All fish have extremities in the form of fins, as you can see in this image, dorsal fins, caudal fin which is the tail, pectoral fin, pelvic fin and anal fin. Another really important fact that one must remember is that almost all fish are covered in scales.

The gills are the fish´s respiratory organ. The respiration process is very interesting; water enters through the mouth and goes to the gills; the gills then get the oxygen and distributes it to the rest of the body through the blood vessels , then the water is expelled through an opening which can be found in the majority of fish behind their head, which is called the gill flap.

Fish reproduce by laying eggs, therefore they are oviparous, and their fertilization can be either external or internal. Some fish are excellent fathers, like this one who protects his babies inside his mouth. It looks as if he is going to eat them but he is actually protecting them. Look at that! it´s amazing isn't it?

Almost all fish are carnivores, eating other fish smaller than themselves and therefore they each have different ways of defending themselves. The most common action to take when feeling threatened is to escape as fast as possible, as in to swim away rapidly. But there are other ways of defending oneself which are much more original. For example, this Clown fish hides itself among these venomous anemones, others imitate or camouflage themselves with their background, by obtaining the color and shape of the plants and rocks around them...Can you see a fish in this image? Wow, well there was indeed a fish and a very hungry one!
Look, this is the largest fish in the world, the Whale shark. Even though it is called a whale shark you must remember it is a shark and not a whale. Whales are not fish, they are aquatic mammals, like theses friendly dolphins. So never forget, whales and dolphins are not fish but mammals.

Now I have a very important fact you must always remember, its extremely important. As you already know fish as well as many other animals, live in water...water is essential for life, and for this reason we must look after it, we must protect it. There are people who dirty nature by throwing rubbish into the rivers and oceans, without thinking about the terrible consequences they are causing. The plastics and substances which contaminate the water, kill a huge amount of animals. Fish, turtles, dolphins, whales, sharks and many more die every day because of contamination. Water is a source of life. We must take care of it and protect it. So now you know, look after nature so that all living creatures can live happily.

Good bye friends, until the next Happy learning video.

The natural environment encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial. The term is most often applied to the Earth or some parts of Earth. This environment encompasses the interaction of all living species, climate, weather and natural resources that affect human survival and economic activity. The concept of the natural environment can be distinguished as components:

Complete ecological units that function as natural systems without massive civilized human intervention, including all vegetation, microorganisms, soil, rocks, atmosphere, and natural phenomena that occur within their boundaries and their nature.
Universal natural resources and physical phenomena that lack clear-cut boundaries, such as air, water, and climate, as well as energy, radiation, electric charge, and magnetism, not originating from civilized human actions.
In contrast to the natural environment is the built environment. In such areas where man has fundamentally transformed landscapes such as urban settings and agricultural land conversion, the natural environment is greatly modified into a simplified human environment. Even acts which seem less extreme, such as building a mud hut or a photovoltaic system in the desert, the modified environment becomes an artificial one. Though many animals build things to provide a better environment for themselves, they are not human, hence beaver dams, and the works of mound-building termites, are thought of as natural.

People seldom find absolutely natural environments on Earth, and naturalness usually varies in a continuum, from 100% natural in one extreme to 0% natural in the other. More precisely, we can consider the different aspects or components of an environment, and see that their degree of naturalness is not uniform. If, for instance, in an agricultural field, the mineralogic composition and the structure of its soil are similar to those of an undisturbed forest soil, but the structure is quite different.

Natural environment is often used as a synonym for habitat, for instance, when we say that the natural environment of giraffes is the savanna.

In ecology, a habitat is the type of natural environment in which a particular species of organism lives. It is characterized by both physical and biological features. A species' habitat is those places where it can find food, shelter, protection and mates for reproduction.

The physical factors are for example soil, moisture, range of temperature, and light intensity as well as biotic factors such as the availability of food and the presence or absence of predators. Every organism has certain habitat needs for the conditions in which it will thrive, but some are tolerant of wide variations while others are very specific in their requirements. A habitat is not necessarily a geographical area, it can be the interior of a stem, a rotten log, a rock or a clump of moss, and for a parasitic organism it is the body of its host, part of the host's body such as the digestive tract, or a single cell within the host's body.

Habitat types include polar, temperate, subtropical and tropical. The terrestrial vegetation type may be forest, steppe, grassland, semi-arid or desert. Fresh water habitats include marshes, streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds, and marine habitats include salt marshes, the coast, the intertidal zone, estuaries, reefs, bays, the open sea, the sea bed, deep water and submarine vents.

What are you waiting for? The three Rs

Hello I am the Earth, yup the very planet you live on. There are three words which start with the letter R which I love. They are: Reduce, reuse and recycle. Do you know why I love them so much? Because they are almost magical words. Together they can make all living things as well as myself be happier. I said that they are “almost” magical because without your help it won't work, they need all of you children in order to do the trick. Each and every one of you are the real 3Rs magicians, those three words which can change the world. Do you want to know how? Yes? Well let's find out.

The first R is for reduce. If you think about it, there are many things you don’t need. When you go to the supermarket, I am sure you could take your own canvas bags instead of using disposable ones given to you. This way you will be reducing the amount of plastic which is very contaminating. And I am sure that you don’t need to print out so many documents or photos, nor leave the lights, television or computer on when you are not using them. If you remember this, you will be reducing the amount of paper being used as well as energy, and in turn will be helping reduce the contamination. And these are just a few examples. I am sure you can think of many more different ways to reduce what you are using or creating unnecessary waste. The following question will help you with this task: Do I really need this or is this just a whim?
The second R is for recycling. Now it is easier than ever to recycle things we don’t need any more so that they can be reused. Near your home you can find places, like the recycling station and containers for cans, plastic, paper or organic waste. They each have their specific colors to make them easier. By using them, you will avoid contaminating nature, the rivers and seas as well as the atmosphere, which is the air we breathe.

And finally we have the third R, which refers to reuse. How many things do you think we can reuse again and again instead of throwing them away? Let´s see…a piece of paper that has only one side printed on it, a carton box, a plastic bottle…you think now. With just a bit of imagination, I am sure you will come up with many more exciting and fun new uses for them.
And remember: if you apply the 3Rs rule, you will make me a much cleaner planet, with less contamination and where we all can enjoy a better life.

Because as you know…children can make the world of difference.

When children learn colors, it is so much fun! These fun and educational videos teach colors for kids. These videos are ideal for use in school classrooms and home classrooms. ESL learners learn from and enjoy the videos too. Each video teaches a different color such as green, red, blue, yellow, and orange!

00:08 - Orange
02:15 - Blue
04:10 - Green
06:30 - Yellow
08:29 - Red

Learning the names of colors and correctly identifying colors is one of the first academic skills that young preschoolers and kindergarteners learn. When children learn to name colors, they effectively describe objects in their environment. But knowing colors is more than that. When children learn colors, they can compare and contrast things in the child’s environment as well as use color to sort and classify objects.

The color videos from Kid’s Academy are perfect for teaching different colors. The videos are the appropriate length for young learners and simply explain what the different colors are and what the colors look like. The clips show our favorite elephant character on a different color adventure in each video. In the videos, the student sees examples of objects of each color. The color and color word are clearly stated and repeated often so that the learner remembers and pronounces the color name correctly.

When teaching colors for children, teachers and parents have the opportunity to extend the learning after viewing the videos. Ask your student or child to name other foods that are orange, red, blue, green or yellow. Identify objects in the home and classroom and name their color. And children cannot resist painting and drawing with these colors. Older students learning to write and spell color words benefit from writing the color words learned from the videos too!

Identifying colors for children is fun and an important milestone in a child’s early learning. With these clips, children learn quickly to identify and name each color. School and home classrooms can use these videos as a visual aid to assist young children with color mastery and provide fun and entertainment while learning.

Bully Education on the Learning Videos Channel

Bullying is the use of force, coercion, or threat, to abuse, aggressively dominate or intimidate. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception (by the bully or by others) of an imbalance of physical or social power. This imbalance distinguishes bullying from conflict. Bullying is a subcategory of aggressive behavior characterized by the following three minimum criteria: (1) hostile intent, (2) imbalance of power, and (3) repetition over a period of time. Bullying is the activity of repeated, aggressive behavior intended to hurt another individual, physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Bullying ranges from one-on-one, individual bullying through to group bullying, called mobbing, in which the bully may have one or more "lieutenants" who may be willing to assist the primary bully in their bullying activities. Bullying in school and the workplace is also referred to as "peer abuse". Robert W. Fuller has analyzed bullying in the context of rankism. The Norwegian researcher Dan Olweus says bullying occurs when a person is "exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons", and that negative actions occur "when a person intentionally inflicts injury or discomfort upon another person, through physical contact, through words or in other ways". Individual bullying is usually characterized by a person behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person.

A bullying culture can develop in any context in which humans interact with each other. This may include school, family, the workplace, the home, and neighborhoods. The main platform for bullying in contemporary culture is on social media websites. In a 2012 study of male adolescent American football players, "the strongest predictor [of bullying] was the perception of whether the most influential male in a player's life would approve of the bullying behavior."

Bullying may be defined in many different ways. In the United Kingdom, there is no legal definition of bullying, while some states in the United States have laws against it. Bullying is divided into four basic types of abuse – psychological (sometimes called emotional or relational), verbal, physical, and cyber.
