Educational Videos and songs for Kids. Today we’re going to learn about mammals!
The diversity of mammals is amazing. They can be as huge as these whales,or as tiny as this cute little balancing mouse. They can be noisy like this howler monkey, or quiet like this hedgehog with its sharp, pointy spines.
Even though they’re amazingly diverse, all mammals have a number of common characteristics you should know about, so you can recognize and differentiate them.
All mammals are viviparous, they are born from their mothers’ womb. In their early stages of life, they feed on milk, which they get from their mothers' breasts where the mammary glands are. And that’s why they’re called mammals. And when they’re little, they’re so cute, aren’t they?
Mammals reproduce by internal fertilization when a sperm cell and an egg join inside the female.
As you can see, they have teeth inside their mouths, and lips around them so they can eat and suck milk.
Most mammals’ bodies are covered with hair, and all mammals breathe with their lungs, even if they live in the sea. Look at these dolphins coming to the surface for air.
The body temperature of mammals doesn’t depend on whether it’s cold or hot outside, because they can maintain their own internal temperature.
Almost all mammals are terrestrial, like camels, and jaguars. Some live in the sea and are called Marine mammals, like these dolphins, and these seals,There's even a flying mammal, bats are the only mammal that flies.
Mammals have four limbs, which vary depending on where they live. Land mammals have legs,so they can walk, and run when they need to,and Jump.,and sometimes even climb.
Marine mammals have fins so they can swim very fast...
And flying mammals have wings so they can fly through the sky...
Do you know which is the most wonderful mammal that lives on Earth?Human beings! People are mammals too...

How mammals feed
Depending on what they eat, mammals can be classified into different groups.
Herbivores only eat plants and their teeth are especially designed for grinding. Horses, sheep and llamas are herbivorous mammals. Some very special herbivores are called ruminants. They swallow their food almost without chewing it, and some of it is digested normally, but some of it is stored in their stomach, and when they want to, they regurgitate it into their mouth to digest it again. Cows, giraffes and goats are ruminants.
Carne means skin or meat in Latin, and that’s what carnivores eat: the flesh of other animals. Their teeth are large and sharp for hunting and tearing at their food.
Carnivores that eat insects and other invertebrates are called insectivores, like these anteaters.
Omnivorous mammals feed on both meat and plants. Bears, monkeys and humans are omnivores: we can eat a tasty burger with lettuce and tomato.
So, let's remember,
Mammals are viviparous, and in their early stages of life they feed on milk from their mother’s breasts,They have lips and breathe with their lungs,Their body temperature does not depend on the environment they are in, and depending on their food sources, they may be herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.
Easy, right?
So goodbye for now, everybody! And don’t forget to subscribe to Happy Learning!

When children learn colors, it is so much fun! These fun and educational videos teach colors for kids. These videos are ideal for use in school classrooms and home classrooms. ESL learners learn from and enjoy the videos too. Each video teaches a different color such as green, red, blue, yellow, and orange!

00:00 Start
00:08 - Orange
02:15 - Blue
04:10 - Green
06:30 - Yellow
08:29 - Red

Learning the names of colors and correctly identifying colors is one of the first academic skills that young preschoolers and kindergarteners learn. When children learn to name colors, they effectively describe objects in their environment. But knowing colors is more than that. When children learn colors, they can compare and contrast things in the child’s environment as well as use color to sort and classify objects.

The color videos from Kid’s Academy are perfect for teaching different colors. The videos are the appropriate length for young learners and simply explain what the different colors are and what the colors look like. The clips show our favorite elephant character on a different color adventure in each video. In the videos, the student sees examples of objects of each color. The color and color word are clearly stated and repeated often so that the learner remembers and pronounces the color name correctly.

When teaching colors for children, teachers and parents have the opportunity to extend the learning after viewing the videos. Ask your student or child to name other foods that are orange, red, blue, green or yellow. Identify objects in the home and classroom and name their color. And children cannot resist painting and drawing with these colors. Older students learning to write and spell color words benefit from writing the color words learned from the videos too!

Identifying colors for children is fun and an important milestone in a child’s early learning. With these clips, children learn quickly to identify and name each color. School and home classrooms can use these videos as a visual aid to assist young children with color mastery and provide fun and entertainment while learning.

The lunar phase or phase of the Moon is the shape of the directly sunlit portion of the Moon as viewed from Earth. The lunar phases gradually and cyclically change over the period of a synodic month (about 29.53 days), as the orbital positions of the Moon around Earth and of Earth around the Sun shift.

The Moon's rotation is tidally locked by Earth's gravity; therefore, most of the same lunar side always faces Earth. This near side is variously sunlit, depending on the position of the Moon in its orbit. Thus, the sunlit portion of this face can vary from 0% (at new moon) to 100% (at full moon). The lunar terminator is the boundary between the illuminated and darkened hemispheres.

Each of the four "intermediate" lunar phases (see below) is around 7.4 days, but this varies slightly due to the elliptical shape of the Moon's orbit.

In western culture, the four principal phases of the Moon are new moon, first quarter, full moon, and third quarter (also known as last quarter). These are the instances when the Moon's ecliptic longitude and the Sun's ecliptic longitude differ by 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°, respectively.[a] Each of these phases occur at slightly different times when viewed from different points on Earth. During the intervals between principal phases, the Moon's apparent shape is either crescent or gibbous. These shapes, and the periods when the Moon shows them, are called the intermediate phases and last one-quarter of a synodic month, or 7.38 days, on average. However, their durations vary slightly because the Moon's orbit is rather elliptical, so the satellite's orbital speed is not constant. The descriptor waxing is used for an intermediate phase when the Moon's apparent shape is thickening, from new to full moon, and waning when the shape is thinning.

When the Sun and Moon are aligned on the same side of the Earth, the Moon is "new", and the side of the Moon facing Earth is not illuminated by the Sun. As the Moon waxes (the amount of illuminated surface as seen from Earth is increasing), the lunar phases progress through new moon, crescent moon, first-quarter moon, gibbous moon, and full moon. The Moon is then said to wane as it passes through the gibbous moon, third-quarter moon, crescent moon, and back to new moon. The terms old moon and new moon are not interchangeable. The "old moon" is a waning sliver (which eventually becomes undetectable to the naked eye) until the moment it aligns with the Sun and begins to wax, at which point it becomes new again. Half moon is often used to mean the first- and third-quarter moons, while the term quarter refers to the extent of the Moon's cycle around the Earth, not its shape.

When an illuminated hemisphere is viewed from a certain angle, the portion of the illuminated area that is visible will have a two-dimensional shape as defined by the intersection of an ellipse and circle (in which the ellipse's major axis coincides with the circle's diameter). If the half-ellipse is convex with respect to the half-circle, then the shape will be gibbous (bulging outwards), whereas if the half-ellipse is concave with respect to the half-circle, then the shape will be a crescent. When a crescent moon occurs, the phenomenon of earthshine may be apparent, where the night side of the Moon dimly reflects indirect sunlight reflected from Earth.
